Question (Q) 1. Are there any solicitation documents to be downloaded?
Answer (A) 1. No, only this FAQ.
Q2. Are there format submission requirements, particularly with regard to total page limit or font size?
A2. No.
Q3. Are there specific requirements for Section H with regard to information to be included?
A3. No.
Q4. The website listed in A-(4) (http://www/usace.army.mil/publications) does not work. Is the referenced link supposed to read http://www.publications.usace.army.mil? If so, can you provide a few key publications that the team should have knowledge of that are relevant to this contact since the website has publications for a variety of topics and disciplines?
A4. Please use http://www.publications.usace.army.mil for publications. Being a full service planning contract in support of the Coastal PCX, any of the publications related would apply.
Q5. There is no reference to Section F Project Example requirements. What types of projects would you like us to include and how many are preferred? How recent should the projects be?
A5. The contractor is encouraged to submit projects that they feel best demonstrates their ability to meet the requirements of the solicitation in any number or age of examples as they see fit without being redundant.
Q7. Can we include resumes for disciplines not listed in Section B - Professional Qualifications, specifically, a Landscape Designer?
A7. Yes.
Q8. Has the District identified any upcoming task orders that may be part of this contract? Can you give an example of a task order that would fall within the scope of this contract?
A8. No upcoming task orders have been identified. No example of previous task orders will be provided, as the scope of work for Coastal Projects are unique and all future work will be within scope of the positions on this posting.
Q9. Can you elaborate on the required expertise of a “Bioengineer” (as this is often synonymous with biomedical engineering)?
A9. Bioengineering expertise is with the biological engineering (living shorelines, working with nature, etc.), not the medical field.
Q10. How does the District define the difference between a Bioengineer and a Water Resources Engineer?
A10. The Bioengineer would be looking at a solution from a greater biological view point while the Water Resource Engineer would be looking at a more traditional approach but still with newer concepts being used.
