Question and Answers for W9128F24Q0081
02 October 2024
Q: Do you want us to separate out costs/state?
A: No, the intent is to have a standard rate regardless of where the court reporting occurs. Offerors should assume the preponderance of the in-person services will occur in Omaha, NE.
Q: Do you want us to add in exhibit costs?
A: Electronic exhibits will not be priced separately but must be included in the record. The labor for that effort should be factored into the Transcript Original price per page. The contractor may propose a price in a task order for atypical exhibits such as videos or full-size drawings. If atypical exhibits are unknown at task order award, the contractor may request an equitable adjustment to the task order price if atypical exhibits are provided during the appearance. Labor to scan letter sized paper exhibits will be priced separately. The Price Schedule and Sample Pricing Scenarios will be adjusted accordingly in Amendment 0002.
Q: We have reporters that we use in some states that are listed, but if they are not available, we would have to send someone from Omaha, so this would be a circumstance where we may/may not charge travel costs.
A: Travel costs are not a contract rate, but will their applicability and amount will be determined in each task order. The Sample Pricing Scenario #2 is for a half day of in person services in Washington DC.
Q: Depending on where in each state would depend on travel costs/question 3.
A: It is understood that travel costs will vary when the place of performance is not Omaha, NE. It is not necessary to pre-price travel costs other than in Scenario 2. The travel cost entered in Scenario 2 is not binding, but it will be utilized in a comparison in the Government’s evaluation.
Q: What is the percentage that we would be in each state? For instance, I'm assuming that most depositions would take place in Omaha. How often would we be going to other states?
A: This is unknown. It is dependent on litigation or public meetings that have not occurred. The majority of in person services will occur in Omaha, NE.
