Solicitation W9128F-17-R-0064 Questions and Answers Round #4
1. With regard to evaluating National Register eligibility for historic archeological sites, is it a correct assumption to assume that the CORPs will provide deed records and chain of title documents for these sites at no cost to the contractor?
The Corps will not provide deed records and chain title information. This information will be collected by the Contractor during the Literature Review.
2. With regard to the 9 sites identified for geophysical investigation (reference table Section 5.3), is it a correct assumption that the CORPS will provide GIS Shape files on each of these sites and that this data would be acceptable to determine the area for the geophysical survey? In other words, the CORPS will not expect the contractor to locate and define site boundaries using shovel/auger tests during the Base Year Geophysical survey portion of the project. The Corps will provide a GIS shapefile of the area. If features are identified outside of the area will conducting the investigation the Contractor will have to gather information on the new site boundary.
3. Please clarify that site 32WI1117 will be the only site to undergo archeological testing and NR evaluation for the Base year.
Yes this site is the only one to undergo both.
4. Reference Section 3.1 of the RFP reads that the CORPS will provide a GIS projection file. Is it correct to assume that this is a shape file with the locational and boundary data for all the sites listed in the PWS? The Corps will provide a GIS projection file that contains the site boundary data for all of the sites.
