This system will provide power from a clean energy source and provide savings from power demand from the American Samoa Power Authority (ASPA).

1.2 Scope of Work:

1.2.1 Base Bid: Provide a total of 250kW capacity roof mounted PV system and associated equipment, accessories, conduits, wiring, connections, etc. for the roofs of the Army Reserves Center building, the Maintenance building, and the Parking Garage; provide 150kWh Battery Storage System for grid stability per ASPA’s requirements; and provide the complete design of the entire 325kW PV system.

1.2.2 Bid Option 1: Provide a total of 25kW additional capacity of roof mounted photovoltaic (PV) system and associated equipment, accessories, conduits, wiring, connections, etc. for the roofs of the Parking garage.

1.2.3 Bid Option 2: Provide a total of 50kW additional capacity of roof mounted photovoltaic (PV) system and associated equipment, accessories, conduits, wiring, connections, etc. for the roofs of the Parking garage.

1.3 Project Information:

1.3.1 The U.S Army Reserves Center consists of three main buildings: The Army

Reserves Center Building (Training Building), the Maintenance Building, and the Parking Garage. The Maintenance building is attached to the Army Reserves Center Building, whereas the Parking Garage is a separate building.

1.3.2 All three buildings are single-story buildings with exterior finished system (EFS) on CMU wall. The roofs comprised of standing seam metal roofing over structural steel framing. According to the record drawings, all three buildings were constructed in 2005.

1.3.3 The Parking garage and the Maintenance building are tall, high roof buildings with roof heights approximately 16 and 23 feet to eave, respectfully. The Army Reserves Center roof height varies with a minimum of 9 feet 6-inches to the eave in the lowest areas.

1.3.4 The existing standing seam metal roofs are in good condition and are currently under warranty. The Parking garage roof was recoated in 2015.

1.3.5 Roof slope is identical for all three buildings and is 3:12 per the record drawings.

1.3.6 The roof structures were evaluated and are in good condition. See Appendix

E for the full structural report and calculations.
