About this file

This document is a Sources Sought notice for the John Day Dam Fish Pump Emergency Repair Project, Solicitation No. W9127N25R0007. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Portland District is seeking responses from industry to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications for the repair and rehabilitation of the fish turbine gearboxes and replacement of bearings on the vertical power shafts for the fish pumps. The key scope includes: removing and rebuilding three fish pump gearboxes, replacing shafts, bearings, and bearing brackets on two fish pumps, and performing realignment of the entire pump system. The work must be performed during limited in-water work windows from January to May 2026 and December 2026 to February 2027. The current estimated construction cost is between $5M and $10M, and the acquisition strategy is expected to be a single firm-fixed price contract awarded via RFP. Maximum small business participation is sought. Responses to the Sources Sought are due by November 25, 2024.
