About this file
This document is a Vendor Question and Answer Sheet related to a federal contract opportunity for the repair of the Survey Vessel (SV) REDLINGER.
The key details are:
- The 300-mile radius restriction from the vessel's home station in St. Helens, OR is in nautical miles.
- Drydock is an acceptable method for the crane or travel lift requirement in work item 5.2, but marine railway is likely not due to work performed underneath the hull.
- The 4 hatches needing repair can be addressed using overhaul kits, and any work beyond that will require a Contract Funds Request (CFR).
- Ship check days are scheduled for the SV REDLINGER on May 7-9, 2024, with contact information provided.
- The reduction gear box disassembly/assembly requirement has been removed from the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
