AMENDMENT 0001 Q&A

Q&A Solicitation Amendment W9127N21Q007900001

Drainage Pumps for John Day Dam, Oregon

Question:

Please verify conditions of service. 750 GPM @ how many feet. Drawing shows 7 feet but we are thinking it is at least 70 feet. Do we know pressure at discharge head?

Answer:

The bottom of the shared well for both pumps 8 and 8A is at elevation 104'. Both pump Discharge heads plus grout is at 165'. This gives a pump height below the discharge head of 60'; allowing for 1' of free height between basket strainers below the bowl assembly and the bottom of the well. From the discharge head of the pump assembly the water is discharged at an elevation of 166'. The discharge travels through an 8" pipe for a little over 220' while remaining at elevation 166'. While traveling in this 220' discharge pipe there is one 90 degree turn and one 45 degree turn. Both pumps discharge into this common discharge 8" pipe.
