Nameplates must be made of laminated sheet plastic or of anodized aluminum approximately 1/16-inch thick, engraved to provide white letters on a black background. Equipment of the withdrawal type must be provided with nameplates mounted on the removable equipment in locations visible when the equipment is in place. The nameplates must be fastened to the panels in proper position. Lettering must be 3/16-inch high. Samples of engraved nameplates with a schedule of nameplate sizes and lettering must be submitted for approval. The Contractor will be permitted to supply and attach to each control cabinet assembly a nameplate or trademark.

2.10 LIGHTING TRANSFORMERS

Transformers must be shielded, isolation, dry-type transformers rated 15kVA, three-phase, 480V delta to 208Y/120V grounded wye, 60 hertz, ventilated with NEMA 250, type 1 enclosure for indoor installation and NEMA 250, type 3R enclosure for outdoor instatllation. Windings must be copper and have two windings per phase. Windings have a minimum of two 2-1/2-percent taps above and below nominal voltage. Transformer must have h 220 degrees C insulation system with temperature rise not exceeding 115 degrees C under full-rated load in maximum ambient temperature of 40 degrees C. Efficiencies must meet levels defined (where applicable) in DOE 2016 Low Voltage Energy Efficiency Levels as per DOE 10 CFR Part 431.

2.11 WIRING DEVICES

2.11.1 General

Wiring devices must conform to NEMA WD 1. Dimensional requirements of wiring devices must conform with and NEMA WD 6.
