VA - USACE PARTNERSHIP

July 2015 VA and USACE signed agreement to provide support and services to Department of Veterans Affairs Construction Facilities Management Division (DVA CFM) as its design and construction agent. VA and USACE are partnered on many large projects throughout the country.

July 2016 DVA CFM authorized USACE Mobile District to work on the New Bed Tower for the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital (JAHVH) to develop a Two-Phase Design/Build Request For Proposal (RFP), to advertise, to select the successful Phase I proposers, to issue the Phase II RFP to selected contractors, and to select the Phase II best proposer.

Mobile has performed several sustainment type projects for JAHVH

CFM has performed three projects in the program leading up to the project for the New Bed Tower. The most recent is the Polytrauma Center, an 189,000 SF addition to the existing Spinal Cord Injury Center opened in April 2014.
