About this file

This document is an Industry Day presentation for the Modified Central City project, a $2.4 billion flood protection initiative led by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Fort Worth District and the Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) in Fort Worth, Texas. The presentation provides an overview of the project scope, which includes an 8,400-foot bypass channel, three flood gates, one pump station, two dams, and various valley storage mitigation sites.

Key details include upcoming contracting opportunities for construction, architecture/engineering, and ecosystem restoration work, with anticipated contract values ranging from under $1 million to over $250 million. The presentation covers the acquisition strategy, solicitation process, and small business participation requirements. It also highlights upcoming industry engagement events, such as a Sources Sought notice for the North Bypass Channel and a Request for Information to obtain feedback on proposal submission and evaluation criteria. The self-guided site visit provides potential offerors an opportunity to view the project locations.
