About this file

This memorandum documents a pre-proposal site visit for the renovation of the 3rd Cavalry Regiment Wash Rack at Fort Hood, Texas. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks a firm-fixed price contract between $10 million and $25 million to repair and replace failing components of the existing vehicle wash facility, including pond liners, pumps, piping, electrical systems, exterior walls, roofing, and asbestos and lead abatement. The project also aims to address building codes, life safety standards, ADA compliance, and fire and force protection requirements. Contractors were able to access the wash rack and must submit any questions through the beta.SAM website by the Phase 1 proposal deadline of January 12, 2021. The contract is expected to be awarded in April 2021 to a small business concern.
