Answers to Requests for Information from Industry

Question:

Can you please update us what Grey Water Bilvets is?

Answer:

250 Gal above ground grey water tanks.

Questions:

The master schedule does not show the greywater tanks at Range 10 and does not show their service. How often do these tanks require service?

The blivets should be placed at range 10. Every 3 Days.

Question:

What connections do the tanks require and what will they be connected to?

Answer:

They will not be connected to anything. Our field kitchen has a drainage hose (approx. 5” diameter), and we will drain grey water into the tanks from the kitchen. There just needs to be a greater than 5” diameter opening on the top of the tank.

Question:

Will the contractor be responsible for the connection?

Answer:

No.

Question:

Are you buying the ground grey water blivit tanks or will they be rented as well?

Answer:

These will be rented.

Question:

Will fueling of the light towers be required by the contractor or will the base be responsible for that?

Answer:

Unit will refuel light towers.

Question:

What is the earliest that we can begin load in of the equipment?

Answer:

6 June.

Question:

What is the earliest that we can begin load out and when must the gear be removed by?

Answer:

Light towers – 26 June, greywater tanks - 24 June, Latrines – Battalion Compound 9 27 June, ATHP 10 26 June, all others 24 June.

Question:

Is there an incumbent? What is the previous contract value?

Answer:

No. This is a new requirement.

Question:

Clarifying there is a need for 132 portable latrines? (when spelled out in the SOO it says on hundred twenty two)

Answer:

The requirement is for 132 latrines.

Question:

Will the lights need to be moved once they are set up or will they remain in Company Area 1 for the duration of the training iteration?

Answer:

Unit will tow lights to several training areas, and return them to company area 1 for turn in to vendor.

Question:

What is the rough square footage of space that needs to be illuminated? (this will determine the size/wattage of lights we need to use)

Answer:

Varies, we need 4-7kW type towers, diesel powered, with the capability to be towed (preferably pintle type tow hitch)

Question:

With regard to the lights, are there restrictions or preferences on how the lights will be powered? (ie do the lights need to be stand alone diesel powered or will there be access to electrical hook ups)

Stand alone diesel powered only light towers.

Question:

Schedule- location Range 10: Multipurpose training range has 4 services scheduled (on the left) but the total number of days scheduled (on the right) are 5.

same with range 10 CTCP. scheduled on the left 5 but the days on the right are 6.

This was a typographical error. The correct services are: Range 10 MTR – 5 services

Range 10 CTCP - 6 services

Question:

Meanwhile we don’t provide light towers, will that be okay if we don’t provide light towers?

Answer:

To be considered responsive the contractor must bid all items outlined in the Statement of Requirements.
