There is no longer a requirement for a central monitoring system. Each system will operate individually for the responsible party to view video feed for downloading video
43
Can the Government provide a list of the required certifications for the installation and maintenance of the VSS?
No certification requirement
44
Can the Government confirm that the equipment listed under “Building 8650 & 8353” is a total count of equipment between the two buildings or does each building require the equipment listed?
They are recommendations on cameras needed. Please refer to "Attachment 4 - Camera and Buildings Layout" for desired coverage.
45
Can the Government confirm that the equipment listed under “Building 8364 & 8365” is a total count of equipment between the two buildings or does each building require the equipment listed?
They are recommendations on cameras needed. Please refer to "Attachment 4 - Camera and Buildings Layout" for desired coverage.
46
Will the monitors in each building need to be wall mounted or will they sit atop a desk?
Monitors to be equipped with NVR system in a similar way to what is in place now in the barracks kitchen areas. There are no desks in the mechanical rooms
47
Are there existing pathways between each building? If so, are these pathways conduit and are they in usable/serviceable condition? Also, if there are pathways, are the pathways underground?
Please refer to DPW, systems operating individually
48
What type of communications cabling is used to interconnect the buildings? If fiber, what type and is there any available unused fiber that can be used? If category cable, what type? Approximately, how long are the communication cable?
Please refer to DPW
49
Does each building have a communications closet?
Please refer to DPW; communications room is owned by Network Enterprise Center not the customer. An agreement has been made with DPW for using the mechanical room for the NVRs
50
Are there existing racks in the communications rooms or onsite for each building?
An agreement with DPW is allowing access to install NVR system in the mechanical rooms located in each building. The communications rooms are owned by the Network Enterprise Center-Ft. Novosel. Current NVR is in a rack mount.
51
What is the approximate mounting height for the cameras? Will a lift be needed to access the cameras?

Are drawings/floor plans for each building with camera locations available to accurately calculate wire distance and pathways?
Please refer to DPW and camera layout
56
Is the network infrastructure between buildings for the VSS already in place? If not, will the installation (Ft. Novosel) be responsible for providing connectivity between buildings?
Stand alone system for B8362/8363, B8364/8365, B8360, and B8353. There is no requirement to connect the systems to a central monitor station. Only local monitors required at each NVR to be able to view data for pulling.
57
Clarify if intention of project is to connect all buildings into a local isolated CCTV network with all camera locations installed to be viewable at Bldg 8350 "BOSS BLDG". Or if intention of project, or at least as an initial phase of project, is to have all buildings recording and viewable only from building's new NVR to be installed within that building. If intent is for all buildings to connect at this time into interconnected CCTV network, is fiber optic infrastructure between building to be installed by contractor or by Base Novosel.
Stand alone system for B8362/8363, B8364/8365, B8360, and B8353. There is no requirement to connect the systems to a central monitor station. Only local monitors required at each NVR to be able to view data for pulling.

64
Clarify if project is to require contractor performing demobilization of existing CCTV cameras/equipment.
Any existing material that can be used such as wiring, conduit, etc, that does not diminish the specified resolution can be re-used. Any equipment, such as the obsolete cameras, will be the responsibility of the customer to remove
65
The SOW material list will likely not achieve desired coverage, will the government provide a map with associated coverage requirements to aid in recommended camera placement?
Refer to map with requested coverage labeled "Attachment 4 - Camera and Buildings Layout"
66
SOW appears to support each NVR/server being isolated with no intended centralized monitoring. If centralized monitoring is required, please provide location of video wall, if monitor(s) is needed, and if network infrastructure is in place to support. If not , please provide scope guidance on desired infrastructure resolution?
Stand alone system for B8362/8363, B8364/8365, B8360, and B8353. There is no requirement to connect the systems to a central monitor station. Only local monitors required at each NVR to be able to view data for pulling.
