Joint Readiness Training Center and Fort Polk Refrigeration (Reefer) Truck Supply
Industry Questions Government Responses
1. The base year is listed in the solicitation as Feb. 1st, 2018 – Jan. 31st, 2018. I just wanted to clarify this should be Jan. 31st, 2019.
The base-year period of performance is 1 February 2018 – 31 January 2019 per SF1449 Delivery Information page 10.
2. How many refrigerated trucks are required in this solicitation?
Per SOW paragraph 2.1. Delivery: The Contractor shall furnish and deliver the specified quantity of refrigerated trucks (maximum of 15 trucks per DO) identified in each DO within 24 hours of receipt of a DO. Each DO will designate the specific delivery and pick-up date. Telephonic orders will be followed with a written DO. The Contractor shall deliver the ordered trucks between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 3:30 P.M.
Monday through Friday excluding Federal Holidays.
**NOTE: There may be an instance when there are two or more active orders. If a requesting activity requires 15 trucks for one delivery order, and a different activity requires 15 trucks for a different delivery order, the Contractor shall be required to provide those trucks for each order. (Example: If there are 3 DO’s issued simultaneously for different units and each unit requests 15 trucks, the Contractor shall be required to provide a total of 45 trucks).
3. Do the chassis’ need any special things added to it? There are no specific requirements for the chassis type;
however trucks must be diesel per the SOW paragraph 1.1.
4. Does the container need shelving, step on back and/or side?
There is no specific requirement for shelving or steps for the truck; however, the truck needs to be easily accessible through the use of a side and/or back step.
5. Do you want a side door?
There is no specific requirement for a side door;
however, the trucks to be easily accessible through the use of a side entry way.
6. Is there a certain temperature it needs to maintain? The trucks will need to be maintained at 32 degrees and below. The trucks will need the capability to operate as refrigerator or freezer.
7. Is there a certain width and height needed?
Per SOW paragraph 1.1, Diesel-powered refrigerated trucks, minimum 20 feet in length with self-contained refrigeration unit.
8. Is there a better description of what is needed? Please reference question 7 above.
