Q1. Could we set a meeting to look at the items listed on the contract order to make sure were on the same page as far as pricing the items?
A1. All items are standard uniform/clothing items.
Q2. Would this be a one time pick up and drop off or a recurring pick up and drop off spread out throughout the year?
A2. See Technical Exhibit 2 on the PWS for frequency.
Q3. Are there any set asides for this solicitation?
A3. See SF 1449 Block 10.
Q4. Will the contractor also have to provide the uniforms for the schools or will the contractor only perform laundry, dry cleaning, and alterations?
A4. Contractor will only perform laundry, dry cleaning, and alterations.
Q5. Regarding alterations: Will the request be on an as needed basis? If so, please provide us with an estimated frequency/typical items that will need to be altered and how the contractor will be advised of the alterations?
A5. Tailoring is on a as needed basis; frequency varies greatly. See Laundry Schedule for tailoring items. Items will be tagged with required alterations and contractor notified a pick-up is required.
Q6. On pages 26-29, they reference foreign/domestic end products along with a table for the contractor to fill out. Can you please provide us with more information regarding this? Are the contractors required to fill this section out or is it more for if applicable purposes?
A6. Read FAR 52.213-3(b) on page 23 and FAR 52.213-3(f) on page 26.
Q7. Under "Laundry Schedule" on page 4, it does not actually state the schedule for each location. Can you please provide each location's schedule that will be needed to pick up and/or drop off the laundry?
A7. There is no set schedule. Contractor will be contacted when pick-up is required.
Q8. On page 6 under the Base Year table, are we to fill this section out upon submitting the RFQ? If so, are the contractors quoting the entire number listed on the table or are we quoting per each piece?
A8. You must submit the unit price for each piece and calculate the net price based on the quantity.
Q9. Page 6: The quantities that are reflected in the table, will this be for the entire duration of the yearly contract or is that quantity number per each weekly pickup?
A9. Approximated yearly quantity.
Q10. Section 1.3 States that contractors must also submit invoices to the SAI Central High School JROTC. Will this be in addition to invoicing through WAWF?
A10. Yes
Q11. Section 1.4 it states that the contractor is given 10 business days to clean/return approximately 600 uniforms. This is where we need clarification as to the 600 quantity. Will 600 uniforms be yearly or per week?
A11. Annually
Q12. Section 5.2.1 states that all delivered items must have an individual itemized price list on them upon being returned to each school. Is this an absolute requirement or can we solely proceed with just invoicing through WAWF and/or invoicing the schools directly?
A12. Delivered items must have individual itemized price list upon them being returned to each school to ensure the quantities picked up are the quantities delivered and to ensure the budgeted amount for each school is not exceeded. Itemized price list will also be used to validate accuracy of WAWF submission for payment. WAWF submission is required for payment.
Q13. Section 5.2.12 States that the contractor is prohibited from returning more than 100 pieces at one time per week. It conflicts with the quantity that was an estimate of 600 pieces in section 1.4 (see question #9). Can you please confirm the quantity allowed to be dropped off per each scheduled day?
A13. Max quantity for drop off is 100 items per school per week.
