Q. Does Fort Knox Fire Department has the Aircraft Simulator that would be needed for the live fire training or is it the responsibility of the contractor to provide this equipment?
A. Equipment would need to be provided as outlined in the solicitation on FBO. Please refer to PWS section 1.1 - Description of Services/Introduction.
Q.Is Fort Knox Fire Department looking to become Nationally Certified via IFSAC / Proboard for NFPA 1003?
A. No, All FKFD are already IFSAC certified. This training must meet requirements outlined in Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Part 139 (14 CFR Part 139)
Q. I see in the document that the timing of the training is something to be negotiated with the Fort Knox Fire Department, given the closeness of the date we would definitely have to do that if we were successful. Is that something we do with you or with the Fire Department directly?
A. Yes
Q. I take it that the Level 1 Anti-Terrorism Training and the WATCH training are online courses and that our personnel will take these courses online? Will these courses also be required of the local LPG supplier who will drop off and pick up the LPG tanks? Will the courses need to be carried out by the Third Party Delivery drivers who drop off and pick up the Fire Training Prop?
A. AT Training is available on line. Yes LPG tanks would need to be dropped off, fill (X2) and picked up after training concludes. Fire training props delivery and pickup would be the responsibility of the winning bidder.
Q. Is a new requirement, or if there is a current or previous contractor who has performed similar services? If available, can you please send along the incumbent contract or task order number?
A. NO, not a new requirement, see contract numbers for the past 5 years
