Provided for review are the answers for the contractor concerns on use of name brand.
Question 1: Is a different brand name pressure washing system which supplies hot water and a rotating head capable of 4000 PSI acceptable for use?
Yes, however the different brand name must have equivalent capabilities to execute requirement outlined in the PWS part 5 for removal of mold, mildew, or potential bond breakers.
Question 2: If we can use a different brand name pressure system, do we need to add means for controlling water runoff, such as suction and storage of excess water produced from pressure washing?
Yes, water cannot remain on the running track.
