Command Historian Questions/Answers

1. Is this a new requirement or there is any incumbent? If there is incumbent contractor there, can you please share more information e.g contract number and incumbent company information.

This is a new requirement. There is no incumbent.

2. Is this position currently filled Or Vacant?

This is a new requirement. There is no incumbent.

3. With regards to the instructions for Tab B ‐ Price Submission (page 50), will the Government confirm whether it prefers the signed SF1449 with pricing and the acknowledgement of amendments within the Excel spreadsheet document that will also have the Pricing Table and Labor Price Matrix or as a separate MS Word document?

The SF1449 and acknowledgement of amendments does not have to be in the excel spreadsheet.

4. PWS 1.6.5. Place of Performance: The work to be performed under this contract will be performed at the Corps Historian Office, and the Archive building 84003, Fort Liberty, NC, and deploy in support of overseas operations.

PWS 1.6.13. Contractor Travel: N/A

a. In light of the two contradicting PWS elements above, will the government confirm whether or not the Contractor Command Historian will be required to deploy overseas or not and if so, the number and duration of trips and locations so that contractor employee candidates can understand the travel requirements?

Travel will not be required OCONOS or CONUS. Section 1.6.5 of the PWS will be modified to remove reference to deploying in the contract.

b. Since U.S. law requires that DBA insurance be obtained to deploy to certain countries and since it can be very expensive and varies country to country, if OCONUS travel is required, will the government make DBA insurance a cost reimbursable CLIN and if possible detail the countries that DBA must be obtained for?

Travel will not be required OCONOS or CONUS.
