QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Question /Comme nt #
Question/Comment (one per line)
Government Response/Disposition
1 Can you provide the square footage of the offices from which the furniture will be moved?
Each room has about 180 square feet of space. Two rooms share one common area that is about 200 square feet of space.
2 Can you provide an estimate of the value of the furniture to be moved? (Would like to explore insurance options for the furniture transport to the warehouse)
The total value of all the furniture and the appliances is approximately $552,936.96.
3 Can you provide the access hours for both the building and the warehouse?
In accordance with PWS paragraph 1.6.2., the hours of operation of the warehouse is 07:30 AM to 4 PM Monday through Friday.
4 The RFQ states the project must be completed in 10 working days. Will there be weekend access to the warehouse or the building?
As stated above, the warehouse will be open only 07:30 AM to 4 PM Monday through Friday.
5 Are elevators present in either buildings There are no elevators in either buildings.
6 How many floors per location Each buildings has four floors.
7 Is a dock available at the warehouse Please review the part 5, Specific Tasks of the PWS.
8 How much room is available in or in front of the buildings to palletize
There are sufficient space around the buildings for parking, palletizing, and uploading.
9 Is there room for a 53ft flatbed trailer to load?
It is up to the Contractor's discretion what equipment to utilize based on space constraints. The Government intends to award the contract with sufficient time for the awardee to perform a site survey in preparation for performing services.
10 Is there room to operate MHE i.e. forklift
11 Are the rooms inward outwards i.e.
outwards = balcony walkways
All the rooms are inward.
12 Who will be delivering the pallets to the location?
The contractor shall pick up pallets from the warehouse.

16 Is the piece count confirmed or just a rough estimate?
The piece count is accurate, subject to minor deviations. See technical exhibit #1 for more detail.
17 Ten days is not enough time in our opinion to adequately inventory all items offered for palletization and storage. We cannot properly inventory to determine damage with such a tight move schedule and large amount of items. Is the government will to either extend the POP two days to allow for inventory of items or accept all liability with the moving and palletization.
The period of performance is extended to 7 May 2021.

There are no major hazardous materials in the buildings.
However, remodeling projects are on-going.
22 Is it possible to have a forklift at the building to load the flatbed or truck? If so, will we be able to operate the forklift during loading?
It is up to the Contractor's discretion what equipment to utilize based on space constraints. The Government intends to award the contract with sufficient time for the awardee to perform a site survey in preparation for performing services.
23 Does the furniture and appliances need to be shrink wrapped and banded down on the forklift?
The Contractor shall ensure the furniture and appliances are moved without causing damage (see PWS para 1.3.4 and 1.4).
24 can I come visit the site before the bid date on Tuesday?
Site visit was held on 9 April. Please review the PWS for the further details.
25 Could you please tell me if this is a new requirement, or if there is a current or previous contractor who has performed similar services?
This is a new requirement for the buildings.
26 If available, can you please send along the incumbent contract or task order number?
Not applicable
