TextField1: FMS Parts Washer
TextField1: Patti Lee-Smith; Contracting Officer
TextField1: The length/width min/max is a fairly tight tolerance. Normally, these dimensions are listed for the 'floor space' the machine will take up. So, if the machines take up floor space of 44"x44", would that be suitable? I don't see why 48"x48" would be your minimum length/depth. Generally, what matters most is the turntable diameter because the parts should all fit within the diameter of it because it spins as the washer is running.

In other words, it looks to me like you really need the following:

Maximums (minimums are irrelevant):

Height max: 84" Length/Depth max: 52" Weight max: 1000 lbs.

Minimums (maximums are irrelevant):

Turntable diameter: 25" Working height: 30" Load capacity: 500 lbs Temperature: 170 degrees Flow rate: 50 gpm Pressure: 45 psi

Would you agree?

TextField1: The revisions to the specifications would still meet the requirements
TextField1: Is there an existing electrical outlet that has a 50 amp breaker for each machine?

If so can we get a picture of the outlet so we know what type of plug will be required?

The machine we quote will come with a standard “garden hose” connection, is this suitable?

Also, are you requiring someone to come and actually “install” the machines?

TextField1: Installation will be removed as a requirement to the solicitation. Additional answers are forthcoming from the customer.
TextField1: We wanted to verify that we just need to email in our bid, and that there isn’t a mail in or website log in required to bid.
TextField1: All quotes can be emailed patricia.h.lee-smith.civ@army.mil. Quotes are not required to be submitted in SAM.gov.
TextField1: “Installation must include any necessary electrical and/or plumbing connections.”

This does not have enough information for us to formulate what an installation cost should be. If you already have an electrical outlet for a 230v unit and a spigot there that we can attach to the machine, that would be a simple five minute installation that we wouldn’t charge anything for. On the other hand, if we have to run electrical and plumbing from across the building, or if they wanted the machine tied into the sanitary sewer, then that would involve us subcontracting the work to electrical and plumbing contractors and also having to apply for discharge permits. That could run into the many thousands of dollars.

So we will need more information on the installation requirements in order to submit an offer.

TextField1: Installation will be removed as a requirement in the solicitation.
