About this file
This is a Well Completion Report from 1999 for Well No. 3 located at Hidden Dam/Hensley Lake, filed with the State of California for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The well was drilled to a total depth of 852 feet using rotary air drilling methods, with the first water encountered at 696 feet below surface.
The geological log shows dirt and rock from 0-40 feet, broken hardrock from 40-53 feet, and hardrock/casing from 53-60 feet. Water-bearing fractures were noted at 696 feet (8 gpm), 809 feet, and 829 feet (8 gpm). The well was completed with 6-1/4 inch PVC casing to 60 feet depth, had a static water level of 135 feet, and was drilled by Wellco Drilling. The location sketch shows the well is situated near Buck Ridge and a savage monument site, with coordinates in Raymond, Madera County on federal land.
