Terminus Dam Landslide Debris Removal - W9123824Q0027 - Question and Answers
1. Is the debris all sand, or are there rocks or other waste materials mixed in?
The landslide material is composed of soil, but primarily rock material from small rocks to large boulders.
2. Is the debris all wet, or are there dry areas?
Debris is dry on the exterior. I’m sure the interior materials retained some moisture from recent rainfall.
3. Can we get closer pictures to better visualize the access roads and landslide areas?
I can provide Contracting with additional photos of the landslide areas.
4. Do we submit all licenses, insurance, and APP (Accident Protection Plan) with the proposal, or simply before commencing the job?
The winner will have to submit these things for Government Acceptance prior to commencing on site work.
5. Will there be an opportunity for interested contractors to visit the site? Customer is this just easy to understand job or do we really need a site visit? If so we will need to arrange for travel orders for CT to attend. If it is something contractors could just drive up public roads and look at I wouldn’t think there is a need for a formal site visit. Just let us know.
Site is not viewable from public roads. A site visit might be prudent based on the question of landslide materials and size and access road.
6. Is it anticipated that there will be waste material generated from the work? If so, how much? One section of SOW says material will be disposed of offsite and another section says soil and aggregate can be stockpiled onsite. We’ll need to clear up conflicting language in the PWS.
SOW should only state material will be disposed of offsite.
7. Where is the stockpile area located?
No stockpiling on Project lands.
8. Where is the staging area located?
Unsure of question. Work will be performed in spillway.
9. What is the length and width of the spillway road that requires grading/improvement?
Length: 670 feet, Width: 35-foot average
10. Does the spillway road require any kind of surfacing, or just grading?
Just grading to repair and smooth roadway.
11. Are we able to schedule a site visit? See answer to #5 above
Same answer as #5 above.
12. I’m inquiring if there is an incumbent? No. If yes, what is the incumbent contract number, vendor, and duration of contract please? N/A. Is there a ceiling or budget? This is a service contract, no magnitude of construction nor any other budget or estimates will be released.
13. We would like to gain access to the site to review the scope of work. Is there a site contact and/or date and time when the site is available. See answer to #5 above
