The areas to be serviced are listed in the PWS.

2. Has pre-emergent been applied for 2024?

Last pre-emergent application was completed in November 2023.

3. Who is the current contractor performing services and what is the contract value?

The previous contract (W9123819P0023) was awarded to Taylor Brothers, Inc. in the amount of $95,950.00 for one base year and 4 option years.

4. Can you explain the pricing schedule?

The pricing schedule is a breakdown of the performance tasks by cost.

5. Chemical Usage: The solicitation lists specific brand names for the required chemicals. We utilize generic versions of these chemicals containing the same active ingredients and meeting all necessary performance standards. Would using these generic equivalents be acceptable?

Section 10.2.8 of the PWS states, “The Contractor may recommend other pesticides”.

6. Treatment Methods: The solicitation specifies the use of bait and bait stations as part of the treatment plan. Due to concerns about potential harm to wildlife, we propose using an alternative method, namely carbon monoxide treatment, in certain areas. Would using carbon monoxide as a safe and effective alternative to bait and bait stations be considered?

Carbon monoxide will not be utilized at Terminus Dam/ Lake Kaweah due to that other non-targeted species utilize rodent borrows for habitation, cover and concealment.
