Amendment 1
Questions and Answers
Q1) During the pre bid it was stated that we were unable to see the placement locations for the LWM along the Yuba River below the Parks Bar Bridge because the access road is washed out.
A1) What was stated was that some of the downstream wood placement locations (Long Bar and Hammond Bar) are past a section of Hammonton Road that is washed out. We will most likely only use placement locations that are before the washed out section.
A2) There are Line items for:
Clearing Access Rd.
Restoration of Access Rd.
Restoration of Forest Service Rd.
All at the NBB collection sites.
Q2) The reason for this road work is that these are Forest Service roads that we must maintain and/or restore.
A3) Why isn't there a Line Item for the Yuba River Access roads needed to access the placement locations?
Q3) They do not need to do any work on the roads to the placement sites. These are public roads that are maintained by Yuba County. As stated above, we’ll use locations before the washed out section, so no work is necessary.
