About this file

The meeting minutes document a site visit for a federal contract to provide and install 34 three-tier lockers at the 142nd Supply Building at Camp Williams in Utah. The Utah Army National Guard is the contracting agency. Key points from the site visit include that existing caging and desks need removal to make way for the new lockers. The preferred locker door orientation is left to right opening. An uncovered outlet requires de-energizing and covering. Structural beams require installing lockers 3-4 inches from the walls. Two end lockers on the east wall will be removed and installed separately to avoid blocking a fire alarm light and gas line. The contractor must assemble and install the lockers if delivered unassembled.

Meeting Minutes – 300th/142nd OCIE Lockers Project Site Visit

Location: 142nd Supply Building, Building 1830, Camp Williams, UT

Date: 14 September 2023

Time: 1000 – 1100

Attendance:

SFC Janelle Soelberg (300th/142nd Tech POC) SSG Dustin Teets (300th/142nd Tech POC) Mr. Ken York (Sales Rep) Mr. William (Billy) Brown (Contracting Officer)

Agenda Items (Description / Presenter)

1) Walk-through of supply room where lockers will be installed in Building 1830

2) Discuss any potential issues not yet found address with Safety and Tech POC

Key Points & Findings:

1) Caging and desks on south wall will need to be removed ASAP before lockers are delivered and installed. SSG Teets stated caging and desks will be removed in October

2) Current layout of locker door opening is opening from right to left; SFC Soelberg and SSG Teets stated would prefer locker door opening left to right if possible with no or little cost increase

3) There is an outlet not identified on the north wall, in the middle of the wall. CANNOT cover it with lockers! DPW needs to de-energize this outlet and cover it. SSG Teets stated will put in a work order with DPW to accomplish this ASAP.

4) There are structural beams in the middle of north and south walls that stick out from the wall about 3-4 inches. Looks like we cannot install lockers right up against the north and south walls, but would need to bolt lockers 3-4 inches away from the wall so lockers can clear the beams on the north and south walls.

5) On the east wall, there is a fire alarm light on the north-east part of the wall and on the south-east part of the wall, there is a gas line. To address these two concerns on the east wall, SSG Teets and SFC Soelberg stated to remove the 2 end lockers on the east wall so as not to block the fire alarm light and gas line. Furthermore, they also stated the 2 removed lockers will be installed in a separate supply room for the commander and officers.

6) The Contracting Officer, Mr. Brown, confirmed with SFC Soelberg and SSG Teets, there are now 34 total lockers being installed (with 3 openings per locker for a total of 102 openings)

7) Send specifications of lockers to Liz Hum the Project Manager

8) UTC requires the contractor to build the lockers, if they are delivered un-assembled, and requires the contractor to install the new lockers.
