About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for a federal contract opportunity (W911YN-26-Q-A012) issued by the 927th Combat Support Sustainment Battalion for a TESS Trailer System Sources Sought amendment.
The document addresses two clarifications to the original solicitation. First, regarding Section 1.1 System Configuration and Mobility, the contracting officer clarified that the containerization requirement calls for a single-piece solution where the Command Center shell integrated onto the trailer chassis should be designed with hardened sides to protect internal tent components and folding floors that create a protective shell during transportation, rather than requiring a separate custom container as an additional piece of equipment. Second, the delivery date requirement was corrected from 31 July 2026 to 31 December 2026 for delivery of all units. The document includes reference photographs depicting the trailer system configuration in operational and storage states to illustrate the design concept.

Questions & Answers
1. Question: On your second bullet under Section 1.1 System Configuration and Mobility reads:
“The design shall be containerized to protect internal components during transport.”
A.) Are you calling for a separate custom container, unique from the Trailer/Command Center, which will house and protect the trailer/command center for transport? Or or…
B.) Are you simply stating that the Command Center “shell” which is integrated onto the trailer chassis should be designed to protect the internal contents?
Solution A calls for two pieces of equipment to be designed, whereas Solution B would call for a single-piece solution.
Answer: B is the correct option. The sides should be hardened to protect the internal tent.
The floors to the tent should fold up to create a protective shell during transportation.
2. Question: The first bullet under Section 3.0 System Configuration and Mobility reads:
“Delivery Date: All units must be delivered no later than 31 July 2026.”
Is this date correct?
Answer: Updated to read:
“Delivery Date: All units must be delivered no later than 31 December 2026.”
