W911YN-18-VEH RAD DET
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS – 7 SEP 2018
1) Can the response due date be extended for an additional week to Sept 14th, 2018?
A: The government is extending the response date by four (4) days – Responses are due NLT 2 p.m. 11 SEP 2018
2) The Sources Sought (SS) refers to an attached Sample SOW - there are no attachments with the SS.
A: This was an error on my part, there is not a SOW for this requirement.
3) Can the responder provide a response with multiple proposed solutions on a single response, or does each potential solution need to have a separate response?
A: Yes, but ensure you break the solutions out so we can quickly identify each solution.
4. Can the government detail use cases for the system- radiation interdiction while mobile, post-accident plume tracking, fixed, temporary portal, etc.?
A: The system will be utilized for both stationary and mobile detection.
5. Mobile alpha beta detection is served by different technology and systems (air sampling- typically done for plume tracking) than tools needed to make a contamination survey (like a handheld). What is the government anticipating for a use case?
A: The system will detect gamma and neutron sources.
