Government Response: Coverage area would be around 110 Acres. Area does not cover current lock construction zone.
4. Question: What is the availability of adequate installation locations provided by USACE?
Government Response: Install locations are widely available on structures and poles throughout the facility.
5. Question: What is the budget for award?
Government Response: The estimation of this requirement is not released as this is not a construction requirement and does not fall under FAR 36.204.
6. Question: The solicitation implies a deliver and install, hardware contract; however, will a service-based model be considered - given the model meets and or exceeds the requirements with a hardware installation maintained by the vendor?
Government Response: Hardware would need to be the Government's property, but most systems do require an annual license for software and support.
7. Question: The solicitation states the procurement is being competed as a small, disadvantaged business. Why is the solicitation not open to all small businesses?
Government Response: Based on the Market Research that was conducted and the responses to the Sources Sought posting that was on SAM.gov from October 7, 2024 to October 21, 2024, there was ample competition to make this requirement set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business.
8. Question: What is the geographical area the drone detection system is required to cover?
W911XK25QA0120002
Government Response: The geographical location will include the lock facility in Sault Ste. Marie, MI to include park and maintenance buildings.
