SUMMARY OF CHANGES
SECTION SF 1449 - CONTINUATION SHEET
The following have been modified:
SCOPE OF WORK
Scope of Work Leadership Development Program FY 2013
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Detroit District
Session I January 2013
The Detroit District is acting as the host District for the 2013 Leadership Development Program, Session I, emphasizing team-building and identification of leadership qualities. The Detroit District will require a facilitator to work with a group of approximately 15 total participants from the Buffalo, Chicago, and Detroit Districts. This training will occur on January 14-18, 2013 and shall include 3 full days (8am-5pm: Tues-Thurs) and 2 half-days (1pm-5pm Mon, 8am-12pm Fri). On Friday, USACE will spend two hours discussing personal assessment profiles with the participants. During this time, facilitating will be completed by USACE within the Contractor’s facility classroom area and the proposal should reflect this. The session’s training should include, but not be limited to, the following topics: leadership qualities, self-awareness, self-acceptance, personal mission and vision, leadership support system, and team-building.
An important part of the leadership program is the interactive and hands-on involvement of the participants. The session needs to be designed, as much as possible, to incorporate this interactive involvement, group participation and team-building. Appropriate handout materials should be provided to help further participant learning and understanding. A journal shall be provided by the facilitator and utilized by the participants to document takeaways. Activities should include ties to the Corps of Engineers’ culture and mission.
The Contractor shall provide an indoor facility with a rock wall and high ropes obstacle course for exercises and demonstrations to assist in various leadership and team-building activities. The facility must have a large field to allow for an outdoor activity during one of the training days.
The facility shall also have on-site parking for all participants at no additional cost to the participants. The facility shall be located within a 5 mile radius of available hotel(s). The facility shall be located no greater than a 120 mile radius from the Detroit District Office (477 Michigan Avenue, Detroit, MI 48226). The facilitator shall have someone staffed that is certified and trained through the Climbing Wall Association, or equivalent. The facilitator shall also provide proof of training from the Association for Challenge Course Technology, or equivalent. The
W911XK-13-T-0005
facilitator shall be certified in ropes course and rock climbing through Ropes Course, Inc, or equivalent.
The contractor shall provide an agenda detailing the agenda for the five days, and a copy of any handout material to the steering committee for approval one week prior to contract start date.
