Amendment 0002 to W911WN21Q6668 Mowing Services at Woodcock Lake Park, Meadville, PA
The purpose of Amendment 0002 is to respond to questions submitted by contractors.
Question 1:
Since this was bid/awarded last year, what was the awarded bid number? Please let me know.
Answer 1:
Previous contract information: W911WN20D3009 was awarded to Marine Technology Solutions for a total of $104,566 for the base year and three (3) one-year option periods; the government cannot attest to whether or not the contractor has earned a profit.
NOTE: The quote Marine Technology Solutions submitted in response to solicitation W911WN20Q3408 was $107,949. The difference between the quote and award value is due to a reduction in the quantity of CLINs 0001- 0007 from 16 to 13 to reflect the shortened mowing season in the base year due to the date of award.
This requirement has changed; therefore, the previous award is not reflective of the current scope and these statements are made for informational purposes only. The Government will not provide a summary of changes.
Question 2:
It was stated during the site visit that no herbicides are to be used around obstacles; for example wooden sign posts and electrical boxes.
The use of herbicide makes things faster for the contractor and thus cheaper for you it also prevents trees from being girdled, wooden signposts from being chewed out and electrical boxes from getting damaged.
My question is are we allowed to spray herbicide around obstacles instead of string trimming?
Answer 2:
Yes, herbicide in addition to or in place of string trimming is acceptable provided:
1) The Type 1 parameters are achieved.
2) Any spraying in the actual campground is done within the confines of the mowing day restrictions.
Meaning spraying can only be executed Monday through Thursday.
3) Herbicides must be approved by the COR in advance of We’ll need a copy of the applicators license on file.
Section C-4 “Pesticide Application” has been added to the Performance Work Statement. For the purposes of this contract, “Pesticide Application” includes the use of herbicides. All contractors who chose to apply herbicide must adhere to the requirements of Section C-4 and the herbicide requirements in the Safety and Security (C-1.9 e) and Environmental Protection (C-3) sections of the Performance Work Statement.
Appendix IX CELRP Form 1031 “Pesticide Application Record” has been added to the solicitation appendices.
Question 3:
When we fill in your price schedule spreadsheet, we found out that, for base year, we need to mow only items 0001,0002, 0003, and 0004. In Option year 1, we need to mow all 8 items. But again in Option year 2, we need to mow all except item 2008.
Please confirm that these are correct.
Answer 3:
These are NOT correct. The original Price Schedule has been deleted from Beta.SAM.gov and a corrected Price Schedule has been posted. Be sure to use the corrected Price Schedule when submitting your quote.
Question 4:
Can we use weed killer or is it weed eating only ? This will determine our bid price
Can I get last years bid prices ? Public record ?
Answer 4:
