INSCOM also conducts a wide range of production activities, ranging from intelligence preparation of the battlefield to situation development, signal intelligence analysis, imagery exploitation, and scientific/technical intelligence production. INSCOM has major responsibilities in the areas of counterintelligence, force protection, electronic and information warfare, training, and force management. INSCOM is a global command with multiple major subordinate commands

(MSCs). INSCOM’s units are located worldwide to provide tailored intelligence support. All further references to

1.3 Scope. This requirement continues to provide the National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC) with remote sensing image science support for defense intelligence applications under the Applied Remote Sensing Image

Science Support (NARS) program. This requirement is for defense intelligence applications in remote sensing that require expert capabilities in order to support ground intelligence requirements of combat formations and Soldiers, including threats from lethal devices. The NGIC’s Applied Remote Sensing Branch supports the mission by conducting Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) and Image Science in order to develop, hyperspectral, multispectral, and OPIR PED methods, techniques, and processes for use throughout the Army. The contractor shall assist for applied remote sensing for defense intelligence applications. The contractor shall perform

Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) of applied remote sensing and Geospatial Intelligence

(GEOINT) data, including, but not limited to multispectral, hyperspectral, thermal, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), and Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR).
