About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract solicitation W911SG-26-Q-A041 pertaining to Small Arms Weapon Systems Training (SAWSTS) support services.

The Government does not currently own the SAWSTS equipment and requires the contractor to furnish the complete system. Equivalent commercial systems meeting all Performance Work Statement requirements are acceptable, though the Government notes the current incumbent is Conflict Kinetics with an uncertain model or manufacturer. The requirement involves 1-2 personnel for maintenance and operating functions, with 1-2 designated Key Personnel required under the contract. The anticipated operational schedule is 40 hours per week with unaccompanied access for trained subject matter experts during non-duty hours, totaling 2,500 hours annually. Relevant past performance with military simulation training systems, virtual reality training systems, or comparable commercial training technologies is acceptable. The Government does not anticipate expanding this requirement to additional training locations during the ordering period.

Regarding weapons specifications, the contractor must maintain the current 18 M4 rifles and add 2 M7s, 2 M249/M250 light machine guns for mobilizing units requiring M250 qualification, 1 M240, and 1 M2HB. The Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) schedule supports two 5-day Train the Trainer events for base years and option years, plus one 5-day Train the Trainer for the 6-month extension. All additional labor costs and indirect expenses supporting the Gunfighter Gym should be priced using Days as the selected Unit of Measure.
