Questions proposed on 15 March

1. What type of vehicles will be monitored? Light and/or heavy duty? Would it be possible to obtain a list of the vehicles with year, make and model?

1 A. The vehicles to be monitored will be light to heavy wheeled vehicles. Please see attachment for make and model of vehicles.

2. Since the Scope of Work is requesting engine codes, then the device would need to plugged into the OBD II or J Bus. Would just plug and play be desired where the port would be occupied. Or, would you want a Y cable to allow separate access for servicing and the GPS telematic device would be secure behind the dash?

2A. The main thing is to have the device so secured that it can't be tampered with or seen by the driver or their passenger but they would be aware that there is a GPS device connected to the vehicle.

3. Instead of the LED driver behavior alert, would an audio alert be accepted? It has been recommend that an LED light is often distracting to the driver and causes accidents.

3A. Yes an audio alert will be acceptable as long as it can heard despite having on a radio or verbal conversation between the driver, passenger and/or in case of cell phone use.

4. In regards to pricing, are you looking for a total pricing that includes the hardware, installation, training and ongoing service per year? Or would you want it broken down further?

4A. A total pricing package that includes the hardware, installation, training and ongoing service per year is acceptable.
