Text version
The Fort Benning Directorate of Emergency Services (DES) is undergoing changes in the Visitor Center Operations.
Visitor Center at the I-185 Access Control Point is currently open and is the primary entry point for all visitors . It is normally open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day but is subject to closing or reduced entry without notice.
A second Visitor Control Center at the Harmony Church (8th Division Road) Access Control Point is available. This Visitor Control Center is focused primarily on the vetting of contractors and oversized commercial vehicles (over 5 tons). The hours of operation are 6:00am to 2:00pm, Monday through Friday. All visitors to Fort Benning will be able to use this Visitor Center when open, if needed. The Harmony Church Visitor Center will be REQUIRED for contractors accessing Fort Benning that don’t have a CAC, AIE Card or AIE pass. If a contractor without a valid AIE pass or card attempts to use the temporary Visitor Center on I-185 they will not be issued a pass and directed to the Harmony Church Visitor Center for vetting. When the Harmony Church Visitor Control Center is closed and a contractor without one of the above credentials attempts to gain access at the temporary Visitor Center on I-185, they will be issued a one day pass to grant you access and directed to the Harmony Church Visitor Center on the next date it is open.
