This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense

The requirements for acquiring the product described herein shall consist of this specification sheet and the latest issue of MIL-B-1563.

MATERIAL: Yellow Brass 65/35 (UNS Alloy C-268)

FINISH: Mirror-like Polish Fronts, Matte Finish back and edges.

MARKING FOR IDENTIFICATION: Back of buckle

HEIGHT:

-1: 2-3/16 inches + 1/64 inch (REF) -2: 2-7/32 inches+ 1/64 inch (REF)

WIDTH

-1: 3 inches + 1/64 inch (REF) -2: 1-5/8 inches + 1/64 inch (REF) THICKNESS: 0.080 inch + 0.002 inch

SUGGESTED PACKAGING: Standard Commercial:

1. UNIT PACKAGING: Each wrapped.

2. INTERMEDIATE PACKAGING: 50 waistplates per box.

WAISTPLATE:

1. Waistplates shall conform to the dimensions shown.

2. -1 shall be dapped to radius of 3-1/2 inches + 1/2 inch along the horizontal plane.

NOTE:

The term (REF) refers to measurements taken from the Government furnished hub or die.

CHANGES FROM PREVIOUS ISSUE: Marginal notations are not used in this revision to identify changes with respect to the previous issue due to the extent of the changes.
