Question Submittals and Responses

1. Can the vendor reuse the door parts or Is the SOW correct with requiring new parts?

A: The SOW is correct. The requiring activity is requesting the door, door frame, all door hardware, and electrical light switches shall be replaced with new, in-kind materials.

2. Can we provide carpet to match current carpet, or will the contractor have to find a similar match?

A: The customer has extra carpet with their maintenance so it will be provided for this project.

3. What about door stops on the walls, it this addressed in the SOW?

A: The SOW includes needing a doorstop. A doorstop shall be installed on the left wall in a similar manner to the other offices.

4. Who will be responsible for moving and protecting furniture?

A: The requiring activity will move the furniture back giving the contractor a 6ft clearance. The contractor will provide a tarp or blanket to avoid getting any dust or debris on it.

5. Regarding SOW- 6.5.5, Will the contractor be required to submit Washington State Electrical license prior to commencing work or as part of the proposal to ensure that the awarded contractor is following the guidelines below?

A: The license would not be required for the proposal, only prior to beginning construction.
