About this file
This document contains Questions and Answers related to a federal contract opportunity for Live Fire Training Facility and BullEx Prop Inspection/Repair at Fort Drum, NY. The Performance Work Statement (PWS) requires the contractor to inspect and repair the training facility and BullEx props used by the government for live fire-fighting training. The contractor is not required to provide any training to government employees. The PWS lists the specific BullEx props that must be inspected and maintained, but the government will not provide the operation and maintenance manuals for these props. Contractors must rely on internet searches to determine the required routine maintenance tasks for the props and controller trailer. No other details about the contract opportunity, such as solicitation number, due dates, award information, or pricing terms, are provided in this Q&A document.

LIVE FIRE TRAINING FACILITY AND PROP INSPECTION/REPAIR
Q1: The description says this is for facility and BullEx prop repair. I didn’t see any further explanation so I wanted to be clear. That this is repair for your current facility and the repair of the BullEx prop that you have and not for training?
A: There is no requirement for the Contractor to provide training to Government employees on the facilities or props. The facilities and props are used by the Government for live fire-fighting training. Please see the Performance Work Statement for detailed work required.
Q2: Can you please clarify what BullEx props are to be inspected and maintained as part of CLINs 0002, 0004, 1002, 2002, 3002, and 4002.
A: The props are listed in PWS Paragraph 5.4.1.
Q3: Can you please provide copies of the Operation and Maintenance Manuals for each of the props identified above. These are necessary to identify what routine maintenance activities are needed for CLINs 0002, 1002, 2002, 3002, and 4002.
A: The Government will not provide the Operation and Maintenance Manuals for the props. The props do not have specific model numbers listed on the items. All items are BullEx branded and specifications can be found with internet searches.
Q4: Can you please provide a comprehensive list of routine maintenance tasks that are required for each prop.
The Government has added maintenance tasks for the props and controller trailer in PWS paragraph 5.4.
