***Please note the solicitation is extended to 28 April 2023.
10 April 2023
1. I've looked at the attached exhibits and my apologies, but it is unclear to me if this is all on-site and/or conducted remotely and sent electronically. Could you please provide clarification?
ANSWER
It can be done either way, depending on what the vendor has the capability to do.
2.
A. What type of assignments are we needing to complete? Are these hearings? Meetings?
B. Please advise regarding the setup. We could only provide a remote reporter so is everyone in person going to be able to be heard by the reporter?
C. What are the typical days and times of these assignments?
D. What is the Certificate of Training deliverable?
· Answers.
· Fact Finding Conferences and hearings
· We will accept either remote or in person court reporter. If remote, the set up will be tested prior to actual event taking place to make sure all can be heard.
· Not set day(S) of the week usually start at 0900 and goi until the AJ decides to stop. It can be after 5 pm.
· I don’t understand the last question.
3. Before I go through the process of submission I do want to make sure I understand the scope of work. As I mentioned, I have only bid once on the SAM site and that was a job that I had already obtained so it was more of a formality.
Is the scope of work transcription of electronic recordings or being physically onsite to administer oath and take record. What I do now is simply receive electronic records and transcript them, whether in video or audio format and deliver transcripts in either Word format or in PDF.
I just don’t want to waste your time if the bid is seeking physical court reporting onsite as that isn’t what I do anymore.
The other question, while I know I should be more versed in the SAM system, if the scope of work is what I would be able to perform under this contract, which documents do you need me to submit? I do see the general bid document. But please advise as to any other documents needed should there be a fit with the scope of work.
ANSWER
It is live transcribing whether the individual has the capabilities to dial into the hearing or needs to be there in person. It needs to be one or the other. We do not record and send it out for transcription.
