Chrome Plating MLRS Elevation Actuators Solicitation

Q1. Will you tell me a bit more about Section 1.5 Period of Performance?

R1. In a perfect world with no delays in production, expect 10 each per month delivered to contractor site for processing, with expected turn around not to exceed 4 weeks in having processed tubes back to RRAD site. In the event there are delays with tear down due to capacity constraints due to machine break down contractor should expect 4‐6 per month and the adjustments will be communicated through the Program Manager to the contractor. If possible, can the tubes be processed and turned around in 2 weeks, to attempt to expedite and get back closer to the original schedule?

Q2. Clarity on the contractor milestones?

R2. Milestones for contractor:

Receive, pre‐ clean, chrome, plating, finish, and pack.

The main prep work for fabrication to the drawing will be done at RRAD prior to shipping to contractor. Packing will be in special shipping crates to the contractor and shall be used to return the completed tubes back to RRAD.

Q3. Is this a brand new contract OR if there is (was) an incumbent performing these services?

R6. Finished diameter range: 3.905 ‐ 3.917, Length approx. 5 foot, No Pistons
