W911RQ-22-R-0012 Questions and Answers
12 September 2022
Q1: In the statement of work under Purchase Description – Paragraph 3 -Inspection and Acceptance, is the contractor required/expected to deliver the equipment within 24 hours from notification by an authorized RRAD Government Representative?
A1: FARS Clause 52.211-9 on page 76 of the solicitation states that desired delivery is 1 day after receipt of delivery and required is 2 days after receipt of delivery.
Q2: Page 49—Polyethylene drums will have tapered walls to ensure safer handling.
Does this mean the poly drums are nestable drums? Most 30 and 55 Poly drums are straight sided and are not tapered. This could be the reason why the UN number is so low.
A2: The tapering refers to how big of a bellow it has. There are ridges on the walls and we want there to be enough of a lip that the fork can hold it without slippage.
Q3: Red and Yellow Latching Drum Lids
There is no information on what type they are presently using. There are many options top choose from.
A3: The latching lids we use are PIG latching with the metal handle.
