SOURCES SOUGHT # W911QY18R0027 QUESTION AND ANSWER DOCUMENT
Question 2.) Requirement Seven (7) of the solicitation states “The ACE box shall contain Interface Control Documents 100% compatible with existing mission, payload, Vehicle Specific Module and ground control station software.” Will the government release the ICDs so industry can ensure it is indeed proposing a 100% compatible solution? If the government cannot would it support providing this data would it be willing to remove this as an requirement?
Answer: With Request for Information (RFI) # W911QY18R0027 the Government is seeking information about commercially available Airborne Computer Equipment Boxes which meet the characteristics as described in the RFI. The Government is not prepared to release the RQ-7Bv2 Interface Control Documents at this time, and will not remove requirement 7 of this RFI.
This RFI does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future. If a solicitation is issued in the future a partial release of Interface Control Documents to eligible companies will be considered, in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
