J&A Number: 19-10041
The last ordering period under the base contract W911-QY-11-D-0057 was 30 September 2018, however, clause 52.216-22 states that "Any order issued during the effective period of this contract and not completed within that period shall be completed by the Contractor within the time specified in the order.
The contract shall govern the Contractor's and Government's rights and obligations with respect to that order to the same extent as if the order were completed during the contract's effective period; provided, that the Contractor shall not be required to make any deliveries under this contract after 60 months beyond the last ordering period." Given additional time is required for completion of the order, that the time specified in the order will be extended, and that the contractor will not be required to make delivery after 60 months after the last ordering period, the period of performance extension under CLIN 1001 for this completion type task order, from 48 months to 55 months is appropriate.
