A07 – Solicitation Questions and Answers The following document has been prepared in response to the four (4) questions derived from the subject Solicitation. Its purpose is to provide Contractors with adequate information and ensure all are given the same level of information to accurately provide a proposal in response to this Government requirement.

Question 1:

Regarding C.2.1.1 The height is not a problem and will be exact. However, can the depth be 10mm deeper (4/10") and can the length be 3.4mm (.13") longer? Or can you accept one of the two? By accepting a fractional amount of additional length allows us to stay in a standard size.

Answer: Modifications acceptable

Question 2:

Regarding C.2.1.5 When you state moveable are you referring to height adjustable or a different type of movement? Can you specify the approximate size of the shelves?

Answer: Height Adjustable. Approximate Height: 6-8" deep X 28 - 32" wide.

Question 3:

Regarding C.2.2.1 you request a blower of 60cfm. On C.2.2.7 you request a blower of a max rate of 120 cfm. Are you requesting two blowers and what is the purpose of the second blower? Is the 120cfm measure in an enclosure or an open air? We have never seen the need or reasoning for a 120cfm blower on a closed loop on such a small enclosure. A 120cfm blower would be needed for enclosures 5 times as large. If the 120cfm is necessary, will it be operated at 120cfm (which would require safety measures that are not requested)

Answer: One (1) blower only. MAX of 120 cfm (lower flow rate (i.e. 60cfm) acceptable if it is appropriate for the glove box)

Question 4:

Regarding C.2.2.4 the timer for the pump; we are able to do this with additional safety features. However, we do not see any type of pressure relief requested, please confirm you are also requesting additional valving to compensate when the vacuum pump is not running and your preferred method of pressure release (otherwise this is a safety hazard)

Answer: Automated pressure relief valve is required to compensate when the vacuum pump is not running
