About this file
This document is a Salient Characteristics specification for a Cable Conduit (P/N: 13645752-001) required by the government. The cable conduit must conform to an accompanying drawing and be compatible with connector D38999/26KJ4SN, with connector interface per SAE AS80549 Figure 4 and shell size 36. The connector adapter shall be electrically bonded to the conduit, with O-Ring material specified as EPDM and jacket material as EPDM or high-performance silicone elastomer per Glenair Duralectric Technical specifications. The conduit assembly shall be constructed per A-A-52440 Type I grade B with brass convoluted tube covered with bronze braid and outer jacket.
Material and plating requirements vary by production lot. For P1, adapters, ferrules, and coupling nuts shall be 6061-T6 aluminum alloy with electroless nickel plating per AMS-C-26074 grade B class 4, followed by cadmium plating per AMS-QQ-P-416 type II class 2 with olive drab chromate passivation. For P2 and P3, these components shall be stainless steel passivated per SAE-AMS2700 method I, class 2, type 6. An optional anti-decoupling device (self-locking feature) is required for all threaded joints, with lockwires and set screws prohibited. The contractor must use standard commercial preservation and packaging methods appropriate for the equipment and acceptable to commercial carriers, ensuring delivery to LEAD in good condition. All equipment shall be inspected and accepted based on compliance with design, functionality, construction, materials, components, and workmanship requirements, with any deviations subject to rejection.
