Statement of Work

Vibratory Finishing Equipment and Ancillary Supplies

1.0 Scope. This specification establishes the requirements for the procurement of Vibratory Finishing Equipment and Ancillary Supplies for Anniston Army Depot Machining Center (CC 3C100), located at Anniston Army Depot (ANAD), Anniston, Alabama. The Vibratory Finishing Equipment and Ancillary Supplies shall be delivered to ANAD by the Contractor with all the functions, capabilities and equipment as described herein. The Contractor shall provide all resources necessary to deliver, demonstrate functional operation and provide warranty service for the Vibratory Finishing Equipment and Ancillary Supplies.

2.0 Responsibilities.

2.1 Contractor. The Contractor shall be responsible for:

Delivering the Vibratory Finishing Equipment and Ancillary Supplies Providing warranty service for Vibratory Finishing Equipment and Ancillary Supplies in accordance with the term of the warranty

2.2 Government. The Government will be responsible for:

Minor assembly and setup of equipment after delivery Accepting the functioning equipment in accordance with the terms of the contract Providing employee(s) with a demonstration of functional operation of the Vibratory

Finishing Equipment and Ancillary Supplies

3.0 Requirements.

3.1 Quantity Requirements.

One (1) 14 -16 cubic foot vibratory finishing machine. Royson 15CTV-IS vibratory finisher or equivalent.

3.2 Performance Requirements.

• Royson 15CTV-IS vibratory finisher or equivalent. Operating parameters and specifications are as follows:

o Electronic variable speed drive, with minimum 5.2HP (208/240/460/3/60) mounted in the control panel. Control panel attached to the end flexible conduit with minimum of 10’ length and floor stand capable of being securely mounted.

o Standard control panel (208/240/460/3/60) includes digital cycle timer, hour meter, vibe on & stop pushbuttons, reverse start pushbutton, estop pushbutton, revolutions per minute (RPM) display, variable speed adjuster knob , dosing pump/water meter on/off switch, pneumatic ramp up/down switch, acoustic lid up/down switch and disconnect switch.

o Minimum 5.2 HP DIRECT DRIVE MOTOR, must have adjustable weights & lead angle.

o Minimum 95 durometer, Hot pour polyurethane bowl liner.

o Must have Media unload door.

o Dosing pump with water flow meter mounted on the side of the control panel capable of 40 Gallons Per Hour (GPH).

o Minimum of one (1) spray manifold mounted to the top rim of the bowl for connecting compound and water line.

o Machine drain o Pneumatic operated unload ramp. An air regulator is supplied.

o Acoustic lid and ancillary equipment to eliminate noise pollution above 85 decibels adjusted (dBa) operated by air cylinders and actuated from the control panel.

o Complete machine manual with parts lists and electrical schematic.

o Minimum 20 gallon stainless steel settling tank

• Vibratory media and compound shall adhere to the following:

o One Thousand (1,000) lbs of 3/4” Medium Cut Cone Ceramic Tumbling Media.

Example: Delong equipment PN ¾-Cone or equivalent.

o Fifty Five gallons of vibratory compound. Example: Delong Equipment PN L-161 or equivalent.

3.3 Warranty Service

Contractor shall provide its best commercial warranty minimum of 1 year.

Contractor shall respond to a request for warranty repairs within 24 hours and provide the required repairs within 48 hours unless the Contracting Officer agrees to another period of performance.

Any repair that must be repeated within 90 days shall be made at no expense to the Government.

4.0 Acceptance.

4.1 Conformance. The Vibratory Finishing Equipment and Ancillary Supplies shall meet the requirements of this specification. The Government reserves the right to, at any time during the contract period, require proof of such conformance or to inspect the unit to determine compliance with the requirements of these specifications.

4.2 Performance Test. Upon completion of minor assembly and set up by Government employees, the Contractor shall demonstrate each unit’s ability to meet the performance requirements in accordance with section 3.2. During these tests, the contractor shall demonstrate proper operation of all controls, functions and features. The Government will provide the components to be tested. All tests must be witnessed by the ANAD Contracting Officer or Contracting Officer’s Representative. Should a malfunction or failure occur during any test, the contractor shall correct the problem and repeat the entire test from start to finish.

4.3 Acceptance. The Government will accept the equipment only after the contractor successfully completes the requirements of paragraphs 4.1 and 4.2 above and provides all training and documentation required herein. Final acceptance will be at Anniston Army Depot.

Upon acceptance of all items described above, the Contractor shall submit a completed DD Form 250 for signature by the ANAD Contracting Officer, as final acceptance of the equipment required by this specification (see solicitation for form and instruction).

5.0 Delivery.

5.1 Delivery. The Contractor shall be responsible for delivering the Vibratory Finishing Equipment and Ancillary Supplies to Building 458 at Anniston Army Depot. Delivery Hours are:

8:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Thursday.

5.2 Content. Contractor shall supply operating manuals. The provided manuals shall include at a minimum the following: operating instructions, maintenance instructions, spare parts lists and catalogs. In addition, any other documents normally furnished with the equipment shall be provided. All documentation shall be furnished in the English language. The documentation shall meet the requirements of the following paragraph.

5.3 Commercial off the shelf manuals (COTS). Preventive maintenance (PM) and operating instructions in COTS Manuals shall include detailed information and instruction covering all PM, equipment controls and operation.
