About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for solicitation W91151-25-Q-A005 for excavating equipment at Fort Hood. The Q&A clarifies specifications for required equipment including dump trucks (10-16 cubic yards capacity) and backhoes (John Deere 310G or equivalent models from CAT, Komatsu). The document also specifies that trailers must safely connect to dump trucks and be capable of transporting the backhoes.

The document addresses damage claims processes, stating that equipment damage assessment will be conducted either by a Certified Technician rated for the specific equipment or through joint inspection by the vendor and military personnel. This Q&A supplements the original solicitation which requires two dump trucks and two backhoes, with the government reserving rights to adjust quantities by ±30% and make multiple awards based on mission requirements.
