Response: No, provide shop drawings according to sheet S‐001 note SS‐11.

Response: Shop drawings do not have to be engineered, refer to SS‐11 on sheet S‐001.

3. Do we need to submit an engineered design for windows?

Response: No

4. Who is employing the structural engineer for the job site visits?

Response: Structural engineer is from the government.

Response: Specifications only pertain to what is called out in the design drawings.

8. Has a hazardous material survey been done?

Response: Yes, see Technical Exhibit D

9. We notice clear evidence of mold in the building. Do you want us to include mold remediation with our price?

Response: It is the contractor’s responsibility to demolish and clear building accordingly.

10. Will the facility be cleared out before the job begins? Who will be responsible for the disposal of everything left?

Response: Yes, furniture that is left will be contractor’s responsibility.

11. Per Page D‐201, Remove and preserve existing brick due to the demo process will be impossible.

Will it be acceptable to use new brick and matching existing as close as possible?

Response: No, follow contract drawings.

12. Is an Envelope Air Test Needed?

Response: No.

13. Is a Dalt Test needed?

14. Is a SWPPP needed?

Response: Yes if over 1 acre.

15. Does the government want special 3rd party testing? If so, what is required?

Response: Only where specifications and drawings require.

16. Does the government expect the contractor to have the STC rated walls tested.

Response: Follow industry standards.

17. We see no telecommunication drawings. Please provide if telecom is required.

Response: See E‐101 and E‐102

18. Regarding Sheet A‐601, Window Schedule Note #3, are you requesting actual film or tinted glass?

Response: Tinted glass, see revised drawings.

19. Does the main electrical distribution panel need to be replaced?

Response: See revised drawings.

20. Please provide a copy of Spec Section 092200 – Supports for Plaster and Gypsum Board. It appears that this spec section is not listed/provided in Exhibit B – Specifications.

Response: Not required, follow industry standards, division specifications, and design drawings.

21. Detail 09, Sheet A‐401 shows a wall tile layout, but the Room Finish Schedule on Sheet A‐601 identifies painting with an orange peel texture. Please confirm if any walls are to receive ceramic tile finishes or if they are to be as listed on the Room Finish Schedule.

Response: See sheet A‐401 detail 7.

22. Detail 10, Sheet A‐401 shows the Shower Wall, but is not clear what the shower wall finish is. Is the Shower Wall to have ceramic tile or is it a tub/shower surround? Please confirm.

Response: See sheet A‐401 detail 7.

23. Regarding the Roller Shades, it calls for both fascia and cassette. Can't be both, it must be either

or. In fact, we believe that is mentioned in a couple of other building specs. Please confirm.

Response: I have installed dual roller shades in other projects, see SWF Contract 1804DS_R series Dual Manual Shade with Fascia.

24. Sheet C‐101. Legend suggests yellow hatched areas call for tree demo, but it appears it’s referring to sidewalk demo. Please clarify hatching area(s) so plans are clear and concise.

25. C‐101. Keynote 3 directs to “permanently seal crawl space”, yet no details are provided. Please provide details on how government want’s the crawl space sealed.

26. C‐102. Keynote 7 calls for “white rock” which is extremely vague. Please provide more detail as to what is required (i.e. gradation, suggest supplier, etc).

27. C‐501. There are rough schematics for stairs and steps with zero direction for reinforcement – please provide clarification.

28. C‐501. Stairs and steps ‐ do you want nosings?

29. S‐101. Middle work points us to Detail 3 on sheet S‐301 (appears to be a Comsec Vault). S‐301 is a pier detail (doesn’t make sense). Please clarify or revise accordingly.

30. S‐301 . Detail 1 directs to sections supposedly shown on sheet S‐101. There are no such details 11 nor 12 on sheet S‐101. Please clarify or revise accordingly.

31. S‐301 . Detail 2 directs to sections supposedly shown on sheet S‐101. There are no such details 5, 6, nor 7 on sheet S‐101. Please clarify or revise accordingly.

32. S‐301. P1 calls for a 3 ft‐deep belled pier. I am assuming this is an error in the depth because a 3 ft‐deep belled pier is not feasible as it will likely collapse. Do you want a spread footing? Should the pier be more like 30 ft deep? Please clarify or revise accordingly.

33. Do we need a job site fence?

Response: Not required.

34. Is full building commissioning and/or HVAC commissiong needed?

35. In Specs Section 01 35 13, 1.4.2, call out a preliminary bid/proposal schedule to be turned in with our bid; but in the solicitation, a bid/proposal schedule is not mentioned. Please advise if we need to submit a bid/proposal schedule with our bid submission.

36. In the As‐Builts, Sheet 59 of 128, Sequence 68, shows an existing exposed concrete ceiling in mechanical Room 103. (Note that the As‐Builts refer to a different room as the mech room when compared to the solicitation drawings. (See below As‐builts highlighted in blue). Please clarify or revise accordingly.

Response: See revised drawings. See D‐101 Structural Key Notes.

We verified that this concrete ceiling remains during the site‐walk. (See photograph below)

Response: See revised drawings. See sheet D‐101 Structural Key Notes.

37. In the solicitation drawings, on Floor Plan A ‐101 the interior walls which support this ceiling have been removed, and the space is used for Open Office 111 and Offices 111A and 111B. (See attached solicitation drawings highlighted in red.)

Is it the government’s intent that this exposed concrete ceiling be demolished? Has the Structural Engineer evaluated how this ceiling is tied to the exterior walls and if removal affects their structural stability? Will the government provide details, specs or guidance for how the ceiling should be separated from the exterior walls?

38. It appears that the LVT scope on this jobs is a high end homogeneous Vinyl Tile that has to be waxed 4 times upon installation. Do we only have to match specified colors on sheet A601 or is this a specified Product Brand "Patcraft" and Product "ADMIX" Color "0100 White Corral" or "0110 Moon Shell"?

Response: LVT shall have a high gloss finish. Contractor shall install all product per manufacturer’s recommendations and all product called out are for design purposes only, any equivalent or better product is acceptable.
