About this file
This document is a Sole Source Justification and Approval under FAR 13.501 for the procurement of commercial hotel support in Gwangyang City, Korea.
The U.S. Army plans to award a sole source contract to Hotel Lacky, the only hotel within 10 km of Gwangyang Port that can accommodate up to 280 personnel and provide a conference room to support the reception, staging, and onward movement of a rotational Stryker Brigade Combat Team during September and October 2024. Market research determined that Hotel Lacky is the only vendor capable of meeting the government's requirements, which include proximity to the port, lodging capacity, and conference space. The estimated value of the contract is $336,700. The Contracting Officer has determined the price to be fair and reasonable based on per diem rates.
