** Question asked during Sources Sought Posting (W901UZ18P18APR1802) on FBO.gov:
Question: For the overlap, it is dependent on two things. The strength of the soil it is being installed on and the total width and length that the geosynthetic will be installed. Do you by chance have any of that information?
Answer: We will be laying the Mirafi 600X or equivalent over firm, compacted clay and then the geotextile will be covered with 12" of gravel. Typically on our geotextile jobs in the past, we have had a minimum 1 foot overlap on each side of the roll. We do not have a preference on the width of the roll.
In the past we have used 17.5' wide rolls. Ultimately we need coverage of our 135,000 sq ft area.
