15 We noticed the ICD for Stryker Common Software Library (SCSL) is not included in the latest GFI package. Would the government please provide the ICD for SCSL as soon as possible?
| This ICD will help industry to better prepare the cost estimation for the Technical Refresh. | ||
| The SCSL ICD is called the Interface Requirement Specification (IRS) (Document # IR-8000-1888) that will be provided prior to final RFP release. | ||
| 16 | We noticed that the GFI Interface Control Document (ICD) for Abrams Common Software Library “INTERFACE CONTROL DOCUMENT FOR THE M1A2 SEP V2 ABRAMS COMMON SOFTWARE LIBRARY (ACSL)” is particular to M1A2 AGTS. |
If the Abrams Common Software Library (ACSL) is used in M1A1 CAGTS software, would the government please provide the ICD for M1A1 CSL?
| General. Abrams Common Software Library for Abrams | This ICD will help industry to better prepare the cost estimation for the Technical Refresh. | There is no ACSL for the Abrams M1A1 C-AGTS. The M1A1 tank is an analog vehicle. Common Software Libraries can only be developed for digital vehicles. | |||
| 17 | Would the government please provide the specifications of current DEUA such as size, dimension, and resolution (number of scan lines)? | Statement Of Work for Abrams, Attch_08_DO_01_SOW_Abrams_20200817.docx, Section 3.9.1 Tech Refresh, Page 56. “The upgrade shall also replace the current analog Display Electronic Unit Assembly (DEUA) (“gold box”) sight assemblies with new digital sight assemblies.” | This specific information will inform the level of effort required to replace this non-standard component in the Technical Refresh as well as New Production options, yielding a more accurate price estimate. | The information for this part is in the SMM. | |
| 18 | Would the government please provide the specifications of current DEUA such as size, dimension, and resolution (number of scan lines)? | Statement Of Work for Stryker, Attch_13_DO_02_SOW_Stryker_20200817.docx, Section 3.9.1 Tech Refresh, Page 53. “The upgrade shall also replace the current analog Display Electronic Unit Assembly (DEUA) (“gold box”) sight assemblies with new digital sight assemblies on the full fidelity systems.” | This specific information will inform the level of effort required to replace this non-standard component in the Technical Refresh as well as New Production options, yielding a more accurate price estimate. | The information for this part is in the SMM. | |

| This information is required to ensure accuracy in pricing the effort required to support the Technical refresh effort. | The Government has provided all the available documentation for the software as GFI. | |
| 21 | We noticed that OneSAF is mentioned only in the SOW for Bradley COFT. |
Is OneSAF used on Abrams (M1A1, and M1A2), Stryker, and LAV-25 trainers? If so, which version. If not, what are the SAF/CGF used one the Abrams, Stryker and LAV-25?
Semi Automated Forces (SAF)/Computer Generated Forces (CGF) in general.
Attch_20_DO_03_Bradley-COFT_System_Spec_Rev_J_(PRF-PT-00514).docx, Section 1.4.2, Page 2.
| If OneSAF is not currently used on each of the trainers, there may be cost to re-built current training scenarios using a single SAF solution on all trainers. | OneSAF is not used in any AGTS (M1A1, M1A2, LAV-25, Stryker MGS) product. | |
| 22 | We noticed that OneSAF is mentioned only in the SOW for Bradley COFT. |
Are we correct to assume that OneSAF is the SAF for all Gunnery Training System? If not, would the government clarify the desired SAF solution.
| No. OneSAF is only used in the Bradley COFT for placing targets within range bands, Ownvehicle (OV) routes, and OV enfilade/defilade. The scenarios were generated via a separate scenario generation tool. | ||||

The latest JBC-P ICD can be obtained at https://mcsc.army.mil. |
| 24 | Would the government please provide the ICDs for OneSAF, ExportCGF, ROCV, Sound Software (such as CGSS, CGCS, and PAAR Audio), and any other software used in the trainer? | General, Interface Control Documents (ICD). | These ICD documents are required to ensure accuracy in pricing the effort required to maximize reuse of existing software employed by the trainers. | There is not an ICD for ROCV. It doesn’t interface with the host software. The OEM for the AGTS sound software is eMDee Technology, Inc. The Government does not have an ICD for ExportCGF or the version of OneSAF that is incorporated with the Bradley COFT. |
| 25 | Is it correct to assume that trailers required for new production units will be provided as GFE consistent with those trailers indicated as being provided under 3.9.1.2 and 3.9.1.3? | ABRAMS SOW, Attch_08_DO_01_SOW_Abrams_20200817.docx, Section 3.9.1.2 Tech Refresh First Article (Year One), Section 3.9.1.3 Option for Tech Refresh Kits (Year Two), and Section 3.9.3 Production Systems. | [No Rationale Provided] | No, the Government will not provide GFE trailers for production systems. The GFE trailers that are being provided are only for retrofits. New trailers will need to be purchased for new production units. |
| 26 | Is it correct to assume that upon award the Government will provide all application installers to enable software configuration in accordance with the new hardware design and new OS versions? |
